Details
The integrated cross wedge rolling machine D46-800 is widely used in manufacturing forgings or steel parts in automobile, machinery and other fields. The outside diameter of the roller is 800mm. The maximum diameter of the billet is 85mm while the length of rolled part is 600mm.
Mechanical Principles
Cross wedge rolling is a metalworking method that uses wedge-shaped rollers to apply high pressure on metal materials, causing plastic deformation and improving their mechanical properties and surface quality. During the cross wedge rolling process, the metal material is clamped between two rollers and forced through the wedge-shaped gap between them. As the rollers rotate, the size of the gap constantly changes, generating a strong strain field that causes plastic deformation in the metal and ultimately produces metal products with the desired shape and size.

Forging Features
● When using CWR machine, the workpiece can be rolled one by one or continuously, which is realized by using a long round steel.
● When it is in the mode of continuous rolling, after a billet is completed, it will be cut off by the cutter and thrown out by the machine. At the same time, the machine will roll the next product using the continuous fed round steel.
